Print-ready export
Today a 1063 px high-resolution PNG. Tomorrow a PDF with bleed, trim, and safe-area — explicit follow-up.
V1 = high-resolution PNG. Print-ready PDF = soon.
[!warning] Status: explicit follow-up. The print-ready PDF with bleed and trim is not shipped in V1. Today, the export is a high-resolution PNG. The print-ready PDF is documented as a follow-up in the header of
business-card.tsx.
What works today (V1)
High-resolution PNG export:
- Width: 1063 px
- Height: 688 px (strict ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 ratio, 85/55 ≈ 1.5454)
- Format: PNG, maximum quality (1.0)
- Background: transparent or theme colour, depending on the theme
This PNG can be:
- Dropped into Notion, email signature, slide, pinned Slack.
- Sent to a printer (Vistaprint, Moo, ImprimeurNumerique) but without professional guarantee — no bleed, no trim, no safe-area. Use for proofs, not production runs.
What's coming (follow-up)
Professional print-ready PDF:
- 3 mm bleed on each side
- Trim marks
- Documented safe-area
- CMYK colour profile
- Exact dimensions 85 × 55 mm
Target: ready to send to any printer as-is, without graphic intervention.
Print-to-mail (Vistaprint-style)
[!note] Not in V1 scope. Timint does not handle on-demand printing or physical shipping. You use the printer of your choice with the exported PNG (or upcoming PDF).
A Vistaprint, Moo, or similar integration is on the roadmap but not prioritised.
Print best practices today
- Export the 1063 px PNG — tap "Save" on the Carte Pro screen. The PNG lands in your photos.
- Check in Figma or Photoshop — place the PNG in an 85 × 55 mm frame at 300 dpi (equivalent to 1004 × 649 px). The 1063 px PNG is slightly larger to give you some margin.
- Add the bleed yourself — on Vistaprint, the online editor adds the bleed automatically from an 86 × 56 mm file.
- Ask for a proof (BAT) — always validate on paper before production.
